در این مستند زیبا و مهیج که محصول شبکه ناشنال جئوگرافیک است، با انواع گونه های دلفین آشنا شده و از نزدیک با این حیوان دوست داشتنی در اعماق اقیانوس دیدار خواهید کرد. دُلفین ها پستاندارانی دریایی از رده آب باز سانان هستند که رابطه نزدیکی با نهنگ ها و گرازماهی ها دارند. تقریبا چهل گونه دلفین وجود دارد که در ۱۷ سرده طبقه بندی می شوند. خانواده دلفین بزرگ ترین خانواده زیر راسته نهنگ های دندان دار محسوب می شوند و در تمام آبهای آزاد جهان و همچنین در بعضی رودخانه های در امتداد آب شیرین انتشار دارند. جثه آن ها بسته به نژاد فرق می کند و از ۱٫۲ متر طول با ۴۰ کیلوگرم وزن (دلفین موئی) تا ۹٫۵ متر طول با ۱۰ تن وزن (نهنگ قاتل) را در بر می گیرد. این جانوران گوشتخوار هستند و به گونه عمده از ماهیان و سرپایان تغذیه می کنند.

But perhaps the most impressive part of this documentary are the scenes of a dolphin pod working in concert to trap a shimmering, mammoth school of sardines. Through calculated use of air bubbles, tail slaps, and sonic pips, the animals corral their prey and have a feast.
