عطا برای دزدیدن طلا به خانه‌ای قدیمی می‌رود. او متوجه حضور یک مادر پیر و نابینا می‌شود. مادر نابینا، عطا را با پسرش رضا که در جبهه است، اشتباه می‌گیرد. عطا مشغول جمع کردن طلاها می‌شود که دو نفر از رزمندگان، درب خانه را می‌زنند. آن‌ها هم فکر می‌کنند عطا یکی از دوستان رضا است و خبر شهادت رضا را به او می‌دهند. عطا حرفی به مادر شهید نمی‌زند، طلاها را سر جایش می‌گذارد و برمی‌گردد.

Ata goes to an old house to steal gold. He notices the presence of an elderly, blind mother. The blind mother mistakes Ata for her son, Reza, who is at the front. As Ata is collecting the gold, two soldiers knock on the door. They also think Ata is one of Reza’s friends and inform him of Reza's martyrdom. Ata says nothing to the grieving mother, puts the gold back in its place, and leaves.

اثر روایتی از شهید حاج حسین خرازی از زبان دوستان و هم‌رزمان کمتر دیده شده‌اش مثل بیسیم‌چی‌ها و رانندگان و کسانی که ارتباط نزدیکی با شهید خرازی داشته‌اند، است. حاج حسین فرمانده‌ای منحصربه‌فرد است که به الگویی برای هم‌رزمانش تبدیل شده بود. او که فرمانده لشکر امام حسین(ع) بود، با رشادت های خود و هم‌رزمانش کاری کرد که این لشکر با نام لشکر خط‌شکن شناخته شود. دشمن بعثی شهادت او را هلهله‌کنان جشن گرفت و شادی خود را بروز داد.

The Ba'athist enemy celebrated his martyrdom with cheers and openly expressed their joy.
